Anticipation and Dread

As I tucked Colin in tonight, we participated in our usual goodnight routine: one kiss full on the lips, one kiss blown into each other's mouths (don't ask, its a boy thing), then he gives me two sloppy raspberries, one on each cheek. During our ritual tonight I thought about how excited he is to start kindergarten in less than two weeks...

... and all the viruses that they will soon be sharing with their classmates. :-(

Oh, funny coinkydink, we both posted on our boys and their mouths! :} I have not taken our healthy, snot-free summer for granted, either.

Tonight we have our Back-to-School night, so Lyra can see her classroom & teacher, and we can meet Ruby's teacher. Exciting! I know Lyra is not as ready for school as Ruby was, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And for Colin, too.

Ha ha! So cute. Just enjoy those kisses, sister. Before you know it, he'll be too cool to kiss his mom.

Ah well you see I have had a whole year of Luke at his first proper school year (reception) and the wonderful bugs that he picked up from his snot riddled mates, am now looking forward to him starting Year 1 with even more snot/virus riddled mates (and most probably teachers).
