What do you say to a dog who acts this way?

7:10 am - Montana eagerly runs and jumps in the car to go to work with me.

8 am to 6 pm - Montana sniffs dogs that walk by the doctors' office, gets a Thanksgiving bandana from the groomer, begs my coworkers for food, and -- mostly -- sleeps under my desk.

6:02 pm - Montana stops to pee on our way out, losing sight of me. I call her and she runs to me, a perfect recall, just like she learned in all those obedience classes 10 years ago. A beautiful, smart, obedient dog.

8:50 pm - Montana has a grand mal seizure on my kitchen floor. I'm all alone, so I can't give her IV valium. All I can do is hold her.

8:52 pm - Seizure is over. Montana blinks at me and wags her tail.

9:02 pm - Montana empties the litter box for me. Back to normal.

Wow Jenn! Montana is such a wonderful dog, very close to perfect I'd say. I know that it's your job to help sick animals, but it's completely different when it's your own. She's so lucky to have a wonderful family as well that cares about her so much too!

I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Sierra gets close to....I can't even say it! I almost started crying picturing you holding Montana through her seizure, but then I laughed when I read how she cleaned the litter box for you! What is it with dogs and cat poop?

Dogs don't like to use the word, "cat poop" -- they prefer the gourmet version, "tootie rolls in a delicate crunchy coating".

One of the things I love and respect so much about animals is that they don't feel sorry for themselves. Good ol' Montana -- life knocks her down and she gets right back up, wagging her tail, when the rest of us would just hold a grudge.

I don't think I can say anything but Montana is such a good dog! She's a one of a kind... never too far if you call her for a lovin'....always has a doggie smile on her face....

I just love her.

LMAO at Leigh-ann. Here's the other name I've heard for it -- Kitty Rocca, YUM!

What do I say to a dog who acts this way? Um, how about I'm glad I'm the one who got to spend these days with you, sweet girl.

Montana has such a sweet soul. I'm so sorry about the seizures. It makes me tear up to think our time with her is nearing a close.

As for the feline hors d'oeuvres, when I was staying with your kids and pets for that week in May, I didn't realize for a couple days what was happening, and I started to wonder if poor Claudio was constipated!
