Yeah, this trip is all about the food....

Hi guys, just a quick post from Vernazza.

Unfortunately its fresca (cool) today and piove (raining - well, sprinkling a bit). Still, the Mediterranean is beautiful.

After the post yesterday, we stopped for cafe and I had a crostatino con albicocca (small tart with butter pastry in a lattice pattern over intense apricot filling) - thinking of you, Steph. Mmmmmm.

I enjoyed last night's dinner on the ship - rack of lamb with a great sauce, mmmm. The desserts are just OK, but we're thinking with everything else we're eating, that's probably a good thing.

I've been reading The Da Vinci code at night, which is great in this European setting.

OK, gotta run and get my fill of gelato, cappucino, and foccacia before we leave. Ciao. Ci vidiamo in Cannes!

The food sounds great! Speaking of which, your kids are eating well. I spoke to Marion last night, and she said she had made them pork tenderloin with roast potatoes and grilled zucchini. Wow! I told her she can cook for me anytime. She said they both were eating very well, too.
It's cool here, and I thought of you both this morning. It was 55 this morning and the high is only going to be 65. I know Anth would have all the windows open.
Love you.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmDelicioso! I do love pastries with fruit purees all dried up and flavorful on them. Speaking of, I just ate a lemon mini scone from Whole Foods, yum yum yum. First three ingred: flour, cream, butter. You gotta love it!

I cleaned out the garage yesterday while the kids napped to make room for Emily Coleman's Buick. Yes, her college friends give her a hard time for driving Mrs. Daisy's car. Anyway, I finally went through the big box Mommy left for me. Did you know it has a few of your things in it? Like a coupla horses and your Halloween jackolantern. I'll save them for Anna and Colin. OOPS>Got to run, I'm being "Paiged" but wanted to add that she is enjoying the entire Strawberry Shortcake Gang. I didn't realize I had so many of those dolls. THey all have hairbows and clips in their hair. Mireya was amazed at the hairdos, still quaffed. There is also STILL a faint sweet smell to them, too. Oh, the half life of chemicals...
