Go Away

On the agenda today was a Girls' Afternoon and Night Out, with a sleepover, with a friend back in town -- I haven't seen her in over a year.

Not on the agenda, a monster Migraine. Wham!

However, I took my medicine and a two hour nap. Removing myself from all sensory input seems to have appeased the beast which was squeezing my brain. So even though I am late, I am declaring victory over this one and heading out to have some fun. I just hope this feeling lasts...

Good that the darkness helps........
Scary though how incapacitating that migraine is.

Mine was only for a month or two. Every day. When I was in my early twenties. Never returned. I'd rather have a chronic back pain any day.

Hope you shed yours soon too.

Jennifer,
You don't know me, but I am curious to know when your migraines started. My son, a 20 yr old college student, just started having migraines a year ago. He takes a daily preventative, and has a 'rescue' medication to hopefully avoid the IV infusions for the intractable migraines that he gets several times/year. I keep hoping they will go away forever, but I hear of more and more people that have had them their whole lives. You seem to have such a full, productive, and happy life. It gives me hope that my son will not be debilitated by his migraines as he graduates and starts a career.
