Weekend Getaway

Anthony and I are going to Chicago for the weekend, thanks to my parents and his employer (he is staying for a conference).

Anyone got any sight-seeing or restaurant suggestions?

I watched an AMAZING episode of No Reservations on Chicago and have been salivating about it ever since. I would like to try Avec http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Anthony_Bourdain/ci.No_Reservations_in_Chicago.show?vgnextfmt=show

Yes, Steph, we saw that episode too. Avec looks great, and also I think I have to try the fries made with goose fat at Hot Doug's.

I have a friend who lives in Chicago. Here's what she recommends:

Downtown, my favorite restaurants are:

Fogo De Chao
www.fogodechao.com

and of course The Rosebud. She said that the two of us ate there, but honestly, I don't remember... all my biz trips blend together!

You can go to the 95th floor of the Hancock and have a cocktail and enjoy the panoramic Chicago view. She said that the food is small and pricey, and suggests a drink and eating somewhere else.
