Fresh Fish

Today at Central Market, the kids chose Coho Salmon for dinner. While they were outside, enjoying the glorious sunny cool weather, I prepared the fish for our "Welcome Home Daddy" meal (he was in Dallas with his mom post-back-surgery). I skinned it, made cutlets, seasoned and breaded them, and prepared the sides.

Mis-en-place, I bathed the kids before dinner...

...and Francesca decided to have sushi.

Much consternation ensued. Wine helps.

Don't you just hate it when that happens. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when Rich and I were really tired and hungry, Luke had been a complete "challenge" whilst we put him to bed, the only thing that was getting us through it was the thought of the lovely beef curry we were going to have. Or not, as the case may be, we came downstairs and Mickey The Cat had jumped up onto the side and wolfed the waiting beef down ........ it's a good job we love him.

Hey Lady, remember me? Just wanted to pop in and say that I'm coming out of 'retirement' for a month to participate in NaBloPoMo. Come by and say hi!
