I'm back

Just arrived home from the coast, drove nearly five hours in rain and traffic.

Shattered.

More later.

"Shattered" doesn't sound good.
Now I'm worried.

Shattered is an English phrase for very very tired. Like so tired you can't think properly and are apt to make mistakes.

No worries!

Oh I feel for you. Buggered.

'Shattered' is a good word,Jenn. when you are 'beggared'! 'Weary' is another tired word..:) some people in England use the word 'Knackered' too :) so I guess you had had enough!

Aw, glad you made it home safely!

Ah A Norma beat me to it; knackered is a very good one, of course you could also try "cream crackered" which is of course rhyming slang for it. Hope you feel rested soon XXX

Okay, thanks for the reassurance.

I use "knackered" all the time. One day I decided to look it up to see the word's history. It describes the condition of a work animal so old and used up it is headed for the glue factory, or similar destination. Some days I DO feel that tired!

Hope you are better now.

(Paula..are you able to compute now?) ...sorry, Jennifer. :)

Yes able to compute now ... just thought of "jiggered" nanna's favourite one!

Jiggered. Well done Paula. I had not heard that for too long.

I can hear Nana saying it now though.

"Ooh, I'm jiggered" Then a sound like whew but more like a woof with a quiet f.

Humour me.
