Spring is an eggy time of year

If you just feed the chickens over the fence, and don't actually go in there to collect eggs for a few days, this is what you get:

I have a dense chocolate cake recipe that calls for 12 of those sucker -- decadence! Just curious, though, how long are they safe to sit out before you'd give 'em up to Templeton? Maybe since temps are so mild they are okay out there longer...
