Anthony got the nifty idea to ice a bunch of cupcakes all together. If you've seen his cakes before, you know this is one of the simplest designs he's done, but it is quite striking.
The best part was that all the guests could just pluck their piece of cake from the bunch, no knife or forks needed.
Or tables and chairs, apparently...
Tastes good, too!
For her birthday dinner, Anna chose to go to our local Greek restaurant. They had a belly dancer, and the birthday girl danced with her. It's not exactly ballet...

I'm glad the weather held out! It looks like it was such a great time. I'm still not brave enough to try another park party after the worm invasion and last year's freak cold front! Happy Birthday, Anna!
What a farkin' great idea for the cake. Except for the cc cups at the bottom, you can't even tell. No crazy icing colors: crazy. The park should be called Martin's Gardens, since it's the only place I know where them dang Martin kids ever have a party. Sad we missed it. Glad there was belly dancing at the after-party.
That cupcake cake is awesome! How do you get the icing to lay flat and not drip between the cupcakes?
